Enchanted Fine Wines is a brand identity rooted in the timeless allure of fairy tales and the quiet magic of evergreen forests. Drawing inspiration from folklore, moonlit woods, and the mystery of the unknown, the brand creates an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and otherworldly.
The purpose of this project was to highlight Enchanted Fine Wines' values and ideology through visuals, branding, and packaging. The challenge was showing these values in a way that stood out from the other products on the shelf and drew customers in without being too absurd.
The logo I came up with for Enchanted Fine Wines is a hand-drawn lowercase e shape that spirals around itself, similar to an @ symbol. That shape is layered on top of an irregular circle that reflects the same hand-drawn aspect of the e shape. Using a lighter colour for the e and a darker shade of the same colour for the circle, these two elements together resemble a portal that could exist in a fantasy realm. For each of the packaging designs, I placed the logo mark in a forest scene with a little girl approaching it to really accentuate the portal in a fairytale idea. The portal in the forest symbolizes the escape the wine gives you from mundanity for a little while. Framing that imagery is a beige background colour inspired by old parchment and the pages of a book from years past. The title and copy of the packaging are written in an older feeling black letter typeface paired with a serif typeface. The beige background colour with these typefaces reflects the old storybook feel that comes to mind when we think of fantasy and fairytales. These elements all come together to highlight the value of Enchanted Fine Wines without being too loud. This project was my first attempt at packaging design, and it altered my career path. Learning that graphic design can be more than 2D imagery and that I could design a dieline that transforms into a 3D piece was exhilarating. Being able to see my work in a physical 3D space allowed me to see that this is something I want to pursue. It was very fun and challenging to create visuals that were based on something very bizarre and absurd while keeping them grounded.
