I’m Hayden Powney

My history

Since I was a kid I have been passionate about creating things from art and drawings to YouTube videos and social media content. My design journey began when I started to create branding for one of my YouTube channels and my brother saw what I was doing. He said: "You know people do that kind of thing as a job, right?" Since then I have focused on getting that job. I joined the yearbook design team at my high school and got into the Arts & Culture Specialist High Skills Major program there as well. That allowed me to get a graphic design co-op at the end of high school. Soon after that I started my own clothing brand to continue improving my skills and to learn about the business of design. Today I am in my last year of Humber Polytechnic's Graphic Design Advanced Diploma program and I am looking for a field experience position to complete my studies. I'm so excited to start my professional graphic design career and to continue learning and growing in the field that I love.
